Mary Magdalene (2005 to Present)
These are my Mary Magdalene paintings, created with great love and joy.
Mary Magdalene taught me to surrender to love and find knowledge within my own soul. She showed me that the soul is where love is experienced and that the Infinite Love that is God is the ultimate goal in the journey of peace. Infinite Love, I think, is red and warm and full of light, like the colors of my Magdalenes. Mary Magdalene reminded me of a path to a better existence and, in the words of her own gospel, of the way to becoming "fully human."
Oil on Canvas. 8" wide x 10" high. 2018. $350
$1200 Many of my paintings are inspired by readings, and by documentaries about science, archaeology and history. When I encounter an idea that gives me a clear image in my mind, I paint it. The book The Lost Gospel, which I first discovered in documentary form, gave me such an image.
