9 Questions to Find Your Life Purpose

Mary Magdalene: Elevating by Tanya Torres
Today’s drawing of Mary Magdalene

The 9 questions to find your life purpose (according to El Sendero)

  1. What excites you?

  2. What would you do if nobody know about it?

  3. What would you do if fear did not prevent you from doing it?

  4. When do you lose track of time?

  5. What is the worst that could happen?

  6. Which experience of the past made you feel alive?

  7. What would you do if you couldn’t fail?

  8. What can you give the world that is unique to you?

  9. What would you do if money didn’t exist?

I never feel like I don’t know my life’s purpose, although it’s hard to put it into words. It is what moves me and motivates me to continue, to try new things and to be brave every day. But I thought these questions can also help to think about how the answers can help design a life that is exciting and satisfactory, a life that makes you never want to retire.

Here are my answers. I invite you make the questions yours.

  1. What makes my being vibrate is coming up with a project, developing an idea, painting Mary Magdalene, working with intention and purpose.

  2. I would still do art if nobody were paying attention.

  3. If fear were not a factor, I would quit my present life tonight and go to my house in Puerto Rico tomorrow to do art, write and live in connection to love. Like Mary Magdalene in her cave, but with technology.

  4. I lose track of time when I’m doing art, writing and reading.

  5. The worst that could happen is staying stuck in the present or living the same experiences again, especially illness and the experiences of the past 7 years.

  6. I have felt most alive when traveling and dancing. Also while in the printmaking studio as an artist student. In general, I feel alive when creating, working on a project and sharing knowledge.

  7. If I couldn’t fail, I would quit everything and work on my business as an artist and guide.

  8. I would give the world my ability to transform emotions through art, both by creating and through teaching/guiding.

  9. If money didn’t exist… I would live creating all day, taking care of myself properly, connecting with people, traveling and writing about life. I would dance for fun again and I would create a free art school in Puerto Rico and live there, spending time in nature every day. I would continue drawing and posting every night, and I would make Sunday dinner for my kindred souls, where we would talk and read poetry, share what we are working on, and just be. I would volunteer in projects that move me, and I would pray and meditate as I went about my days.
